Add live chat to your Wix site

The chat goes on your site with one line of code. Paste it once and it shows on every page, answering from your own pages, with your team one click away.

Before you start

Wix accepts code only on a published site with a connected domain, which needs a Wix Premium plan.

You need a SupportVia account with your website added. Start free if you haven’t yet: no card needed.

Then copy your snippet: in the dashboard, open Websites, choose your website, and copy the code under Add the chat to your website. It looks like this, with your own key:

<script src="https://my.supportvia.app/widget.js"
        data-key="pk_8f2c…" data-website="1" async></script>

Add the snippet to Wix

  1. In your site’s dashboard, open Settings, then Custom code.
  2. Choose Add Custom Code, paste the snippet, and give it a name, such as “Support chat”.
  3. Under “Add code to pages”, choose All pages and “Load code once”.
  4. Under “Place code in”, choose Body - end, then Apply.

Check it’s working

Open your website in a private window. The chat button shows in the bottom right corner, or the bottom left if you moved it in the dashboard.

Once the chat has loaded on your site, the website’s page in the dashboard says Live on and your domain. Ask the chat something your website answers, and the conversation shows up in your inbox.

If the chat doesn’t show

  • Wix ties custom code to your domain. If you connect a different domain later, Wix removes the snippet, so add it again.
  • The chat runs only on the websites you’ve added, and their subdomains (such as www). For another address, such as a staging site, add it under Where it runs in the website’s settings.
  • If the button covers something, such as a cookie banner, choose the other corner in the dashboard, or move it up on that page with CSS: chat-connector-widget { --cc-bottom: 96px; }
  • Still stuck? Ask in the chat on this page, and someone from the team will help.
